Fluorite with Chrysocolla & Galena, Covara Mine, Italian Alps

These are special treats from the Covara mine, an old 17th century silver mine located in the Italian Alps. I work with a small miner who does all of his work by hand, and has gained access to this now closed mine. This stunning specimen features glassy fluorite cubes glittering the surface with rainbows, many cubes have galena inclusions adding a metallic effect. This also is coated with light blue/green chrysocolla, quite rare even for this mine, and in general!
